In September I won a place on an All Stars Educational trip to New Zealand and I have returned from my quick trip across the ditch with a renewed enthusiasm for our Kiwi neighbours. After spending a day meeting and networking with all the tourism boards from around the country, I now have lots of handy and interesting tips of what to do and where to go when you find yourself in the land of the great white cloud.
I was then lucky to spend a wonderful 3 days travelling North up to the Bay of Islands, stopping at some quaint little townships, seeing ‘Te Mahuta’ a 2000 year old Kauri Tree, visiting the Whitianga Treaty Grounds, enjoying dinner in Russell and cruising out to the hole in the rock and seeing dolphins in the wild before returning to Auckland. I can honestly say I had forgotten how easy and quick it is to fly to New Zealand and how much it offers visitors from all walks of life. I was amazed at how many unique experiences, beautiful scenery, tasty culinary delights, amazing wildlife and adrenalin packed adventures you can enjoy whilst holidaying here.
I have fallen back in love with NZ and can’t wait to go back for another quick getaway! And even better with the Aussie dollar crashing against most other currencies combined with reasonably cheap airfares, NOW is the perfect time to visit New Zealand!
